COVID-19 Updates

5/26/2020
We are currently awaiting clarification from the State of DE regarding possible reopening under phase 1 guidelines. As soon as we know more we'll post an update. We hope everyone is well and we look forward to seeing everyone when we can reopen.

4/17/2020
The Member's Day evemt scheduled for 4/25/2020 is cancelled. We hope everyone is well and we look forward to seeing everyone when we can reopen.

3/28/2020
No news to date regarding when we may reopen. No membership billing will be processed until we are able to reopen. For EFT members, any items billed to your account in March will be processed for billing on 3/31/2020. We hope everyone is well and we look forward to seeing everyone when we can reopen.

3/18/2020
As per the State of Delaware's announcement of mandatory closures we will be closed starting 3/19/2020 until further notice.

All memberships and passes will be put on hold immediately, so no action is needed from members/customers. For memberships, the remaining time in March lost due to closure will be applied to accounts when we are allowed to resume services. For prepaid passes, the remaining unused portion will be applied to accounts when we are allowed to resume services.

If you have a group reservation scheduled during the next several weeks, we will be in contact regarding cancellation and/or rescheduling.

At this time it is unlikely that the Member Day event on 4/25/2020 will go on as planned. However we will post more about that as things progress.

Please contact us if you have any questions and we will post updates as they become available. In the meantime, we hope everyone stays well and we look forward to seeing everyone when we are allowed to resume services.

Like other organizations, we are taking steps to try to prevent the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19). We have increased the cleaning frequency of the touchable surfaces, fitness equipment, bathrooms, front desk, and other common areas in our facility.

A frequent topic of interest is the cleaning / sanitizing of the climbing holds. Each time the holds are taken down, they are cleaned / sanitized before being put back on the wall. However, it is not feasible to clean every hold daily or in between each customer's use. So, it is important to wash your hands prior to climbing and immediately after you are finished. Anytime one is climbing they should be careful to not touch their face, eyes, nose, or mouth, as holds are used by a climber's hands and shoes.

We plan on continuing our usual operations and remaining open for normal hours. If it is brought to our attention that additional steps are necessary then we will reevaluate the situation at that time and post any necessary updates.

The following are some of the recommendations of the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) for staying healthy and preventing the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19) :

• Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.
• Use a hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol if soap and water are not available.
• Avoid touching your face, eyes, nose, or mouth with unwashed hands.
• Cover your cough or sneezes with a tissue or elbow.
• Avoid contact with those who are sick.
• Avoid handshaking, high-fives, and hugs – use other non-contact methods of greeting.
• Stay at home if you are feeling sick or have a sick family member in your home.

Throughout this time we will remain flexible with any reservation or membership requests. If you have any questions, changes you wish to make, or concerns that you wish to address with us please call us for the most timely response.
